Ingredients

  • 750 g beef mince
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 × 400 g tins chopped tomatoes
  • 400 g tin kidney beans, drained
  • 1 tbsp mild chilli powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • Rice or jacket potatoes, to serve

Recipe

Brown the mince and onion hard in a frying pan first — don't skip this, it's where the flavour comes from.

Tip everything into the slow cooker with the tomatoes, beans, chilli powder, and cumin.

Cook on low for 6–8 hours.

Serve over rice or jacket potatoes; it's even better the second night.
